Oman hosts GCC power requirements conferences

MUSCAT: Oman is webhosting conferences of 3 Gulf technical committees accountable for creating requirements for the electrical energy, electronics and renewable power sectors, as member states search to support regional technical cooperation and beef up the transition to cleaner power.

The conferences, which proceed till July 2, deliver in combination representatives from GCC nations and Yemen, along experts from govt entities, electrical energy firms and the personal sector.

Contributors are reviewing draft requirements beneath the Gulf Requirements Plan 2026, specializing in product protection, power potency, renewable power applied sciences and electrical energy technology, transmission and distribution apparatus.

Dr Jihad bint Jabr al Busaidi, Director of the Requirements Division on the Ministry of Trade, Trade and Funding Promotion, stated Oman’s webhosting of the conferences mirrored the boldness of GCC member states and the Sultanate’s dedication to advancing the Gulf standardisation gadget.
