Swift Response Averts Disaster as Vehicle Fire Spreads at Samail Fuel Station

SAMAIL – Emergency teams worked together with people to put out a big fire at an Al Maha fuel station in the Wilayat of Samail. Luckily nobody got injured and also the station did not get damaged.

This all happened when a car caught fire while it was parked near that fuel pump. The fire got bigger fast and then started to threaten the things around it and also set one of the pumps at the station on fire.

The people who deal with emergencies and the safety team moved quickly to make sure the area was safe and to stop the fire from spreading.

Al Maha Petroleum Products Marketing Company said that everything was under control in a few minutes. This was because the emergency teams got there away and followed the usual plan for dealing with emergencies. The fire at the Al Maha fuel station in Samail was a scare but thanks to the emergency teams, the Al Maha fuel station is safe now.

Company representatives confirmed that no injuries or burns were sustained by motorists, site employees, or emergency personnel during the incident.

“The situation was managed promptly and efficiently in close cooperation with the designated security and civil defense authorities,” the company stated, reassuring the public regarding safety standards across its filling stations.

Following the containment of the blaze, specialized teams initiated comprehensive site clearing operations and technical damage assessments. Operations at the affected station have been temporarily suspended as safety engineers evaluate the structural integrity of adjacent fuel dispensers and underground supply lines.

Al Maha indicated that rigorous safety checks and restorative measures are currently being conducted to ensure all operational systems comply with national safety standards before service resumes. The company expects the Samail facility to reopen for public service within the next few days.

Reiterating its commitment to public protection, the fuel distributor emphasized that maintaining the highest safety parameters for customers, staff, and neighboring communities remains paramount across all its operational networks in the Sultanate of Oman.
