The Oman Camel Racing Federation has shared a full list of when the camel races, traditional shows and beauty contests will happen.
This is for the new 2026/2027 sports year in the country. The people in charge want to show everyone what is planned for the camels and also the owners.
The new season will start at the same time in two places, Barka and Adam, on September 29, 2026. The official races from the federation will go on until February 4, 2027.
After that, some other events supported by private companies will keep the camel sports going until March 2027. This means there will be many months of activities for people who like camels.
The plan is to help keep the old traditions of Oman alive. There will be five main racing events held in Barka and Adam. The first one is from September 29 to October 1.
Then there will be more races in October, November and December. These races happen when the weather gets cooler so it is better for the camels and the people watching them.
Besides the regular races, there are special meetings like the one in Thumrait in November. There, people will look at how beautiful the camels are in a contest called Mazayna and see them perform in the Ardha show.
The biggest event will be the Annual Festival in January 2027. This is a very special time when the best camel owners and trainers come together with many thousands of people to celebrate.
Big companies like Occidental Oman and Oman Shell are also helping by sponsoring races in different areas. The people who run the sports say these tournaments are very important because they give money to the people who raise camels. This also helps to make sure that the special Omani camels stay a part of the country’s future.
