His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik hosted various high-level diplomatic events in Al Hosn Palace, Salalah, on Thursday, where he received the credentials of newly appointed foreign envoys while observing the swearing-in ceremony of Omani envoys dispatched overseas.
The ceremony organized in the governorate of Dhofar marked the Sultanate’s consistent efforts towards expanding its international cooperation through forging partnerships with other countries. The Highness, the Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, was present in the ceremony at Al Hosn Palace along with His Majesty.
In the audience, the newly appointed ambassadors presented their credentials to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, who conveyed his regards to their respective heads of state. The foreign representatives communicated their nations’ strong desire to deepen mutual ties, enhance diplomatic channels, and expand economic and cultural collaboration with Oman.

Welcoming the incoming envoys, His Majesty expressed appreciation for the fraternal sentiments extended by global leaders. The Sovereign affirmed that the Omani government stands ready to provide total operational support to facilitate the diplomats in discharging their official mandates, emphasizing Muscat’s unwavering resolve to build constructive, multi-sector partnerships across the globe.
In a concurrent ceremony, members of the Sultanate’s newly assigned diplomatic cadre, including Shaikh Nasser bin Sulaiman al Harthi, the newly appointed Ambassador of Oman to Belarus, took their oath of office directly before His Majesty.
The official delegation present in Salalah included key state dignitaries: the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, the Head of Royal Protocols, alongside His Majesty’s military aides. These diplomatic events reflect Oman’s enduring foreign policy ethos rooted in dialogue, peaceful co-existence, and mutual respect.
