Muscat Airports Introduces Unified Parking Tariff Across Oman’s Airports
SHARE

Muscat Airports has announced an updated parking tariff that will unify the charges at its airports, which aims to provide convenience to the passengers and ease management of parking services, as Muscat Airports Company (MAC) strives to raise the standard of customer service in line with international airports.

The new parking tariff includes both short and long term parking at the airport managed by the company, effective immediately. This step is taken to provide convenience to the passengers by unifying charges and to ease the management as well as to bring up the standard of airport parking in the Sultanate to match international standards.

The airport authorities said that they have taken this measure to provide convenience to the passengers as far as parking is concerned in addition to adopting a more systematic approach in the management of this service which has witnessed increased demand.

Under the updated policy, the same pricing model will be adopted across Muscat Airports-operated facilities, replacing varying tariffs that previously applied at different locations. Officials noted that standardising parking fees will provide a more seamless experience for passengers, visitors and those collecting or dropping off travellers. The initiative also aligns with ongoing improvements in airport services as Oman continues investing in modern transport infrastructure and customer-focused operations.

Airport parking remains an essential service for thousands of travellers each day, particularly during peak holiday seasons and major travel periods. By introducing a single tariff structure, Muscat Airports aims to reduce confusion over parking charges while improving operational efficiency. The company said the revised system forms part of its strategy to deliver high-quality airport services that meet international standards and support the country’s aviation sector.

The unified tariff is expected to benefit passengers using Muscat International Airport as well as other airports managed by Muscat Airports by providing predictable parking costs and a consistent user experience. Authorities encouraged travellers to familiarise themselves with the updated parking rates before visiting the airport and to use designated parking areas to ensure smooth traffic movement around terminals.

The latest initiative reflects Oman’s continued focus on strengthening airport services as passenger numbers recover and aviation activity expands. Standardised parking charges, together with ongoing investments in digital services and airport infrastructure, are expected to contribute to a more efficient and customer-friendly travel experience across the Sultanate.
